You’re in for memorable experience.

Even before you enter the gates of the Diamond Cross Ranch, your heart beat increases with the anticipation drawn from the awesome majestic country and presence of plentiful game. You know you’re in for memorable experience upon arrival at their well appointed lodge and confirmed by the friendly welcome of host & hostess Dick and Laurie. I found the professional guides to be knowledgeable of both the habits & habitats of the game, as well as being accommodating to individual needs. The staff provides three full course meals each day at Diamond Cross Lodge and is as good as any fine resort – couple that with the camaraderie of your hosts, guides, and staff, their lodge experience can not be beat. Be prepared to sight, scope, and rate many world class mule deer. Did I mention the antelope, elk, coyote, mountain lion, turkey, waterfowl, and prairie dogs that may at any time cross your path? A must hunt that will keep you anxious and waiting for next year. This hunt, this lodge, and these people will make you want to come back year after year.

We've established solid friendships and are coming back again.

I have had a wonderful experience over the past several years hunting in Birney, Montana at the Diamond Cross Ranch along with a group of close friends of mine who reside in various geographic areas of the country. We have established solid friendships with the management of the ranch and are looking forward to coming back again this year . . . 2009. The accommodations . . . the food . . . and the overall treatment afforded all is first class . . . and that is a major reason for our continuing to return to the ranch. In addition, the hunting is excellent with everyone having opportunities to harvest a true trophy mule deer . . . so if you enjoy great scenery, first class food and lodging, expert guiding and downright great treatment, then the Diamond Cross Ranch should be high on your list as a hunting destination to try to book.

the animals, land and lodge but most of all the people.

The Diamond Cross is special for a lot of reasons, the animals are abundant, the land is beautiful, the lodge is great, but most of all is the attitude of the people. Besides just being plain, darn nice, they love to hunt. So whether you are successful you first day of your last they are there for you and will make it their mission to ensure you have a great experience. When the hinting is done, there’s fishing, wing shooting for grouse or Huns (which I’ve yet to see up close) or maybe ducks. Whatever, plan on a good time because of you don’t have fun at the Diamond Cross, take up knitting.
